General Conference this past weekend was so inspirational!!
At my house we have two T.V's and our huge T.V. is used for our movie nights, and wii party nights.....but our small T.V. was used for watching the news and all my court T.V....LOL...but anyways our lil T.V. was giving us a hard time and so we decided to watch a live feed on ksl.com...it was so great to watch it! My favorite talks were by our prophet Thomas S. Monson & Dallin H. Oaks. I took a lot of notes so that i could have them for myself but i cant wait until the ensign or the liahona comes out next month!! This past weekend was really great for me! I love hearing the prophets speaking of topics that relate to me. In Thomas S. Monson's talk (1st part of 2nd session) He said " Nothing in this world can defeat us" i thought about myself and my attitude towards my life and where it will be in the future....at times i always feel like the world is against me but its my way of thinking....but when i heard that it made me think that i cant let the hard times get to me but to be stronger than that and strive to live a better, faithful life. Dallin H. Oaks spoke on unselfish service and how its important it is to "Losing our lives to the service of others" and my favorite quote by him "Act & Serve for what we give and not by what we get." After general conference we had dinner at my parents....this week was very helpful in my journey to continue being a daughter of god and being obedient to his teaching and BE teachable!! The prophet definately gave a great boost to next week. I need to push myself to get work done. I am such a procrastinator and i apparently dont have a reason for it. I just am!!...LOL...my hubby keeps me grounded when i feel like the world is on my shoulders....HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
